3,170 more doctors sent to Wuhan to fight coronavirus


To combat the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19) in its epicentre, the city of Wuhan of Hubei Province of central China, 21 medical teams were formed, the National Health Commission of the PRC reported on February 13. These include 3170 health workers who have been deployed to the region for treatment and patient care at a range of intensive care facilities, including the Union Hospital Tumor Center at Tunji Huachjun Medical College of Science and Technology University and Wuhan Hospital No. 1. It should be noted that the collected teams consist of professionals in the field of medicine from a number of regions of China at the provincial level, including the provinces of Sichuan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, as well as the city of central subordination of Tianjin.
