One killed, one wounded. Seattle Autonomous Zone shootout


As a result of a shootout in the early morning near the so-called Autonomous Zone of Capitol Hill (CHAZ) in Seattle, a 16-year-old boy was killed, and another, 14-year-old, was injured, the Seattle Police Department said on June 29. It is clarified that the investigation of the murder is difficult, since the jeep, on which both teenagers allegedly drove, is flooded, and it will not be possible to establish a picture of what happened. Other details of the incident are not reported. According to the news agency, a few days ago, rioters seized several blocks in central Seattle, declared them the Autonomous Zone of Capitol Hill (CHAZ). Police officers were ordered to leave the area in order not to increase tensions.
