Ukrainian authorities thanked the countries for helping in the fight against floods

Ukraine thanked a number of countries that assisted in the flood control in the west of the country, said the press secretary of the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel, the UNN news agency reported on June 29. We are grateful to the United States, Hungary, Israel, Moldova and Sweden, who offered assistance to the Ukrainian Carpathian region, she said. Mendel also noted that the European Commission called the flood in Western Ukraine the strongest in the past half century.
