Nintendo again filed a complaint over Switch console controllers

Nintendo filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office in Nanterre (Paris) by the French consumer group UFC-Que Choisir because of the Joy-Con controllers of the Switch portable console. This was announced on September 23 by the Screen Rant portal. Activists collected more than 5 thousand user reviews and accused the company that the poor-quality performance of Joy-Con is the reason for their premature failure. UFC-Que Choisir reported that 65% of the surveyed owners of Switch Joy-Con broke down in the first two years of use, and 25% of users faced problems within the first six months after acquiring the console. According to experts, one of the reasons for the malfunction may be the lack of seals, due to which dust and garbage accumulate in the Joy-Con case. Recall that in June 2020, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa apologized to Switch owners for having to face a well-known defect in Switch controllers. Then he said that the company is trying to solve the problems that arose.
